Held every year from 25th February to 2nd March, Khajuraho Dance Festival takes place at the open-air auditorium in front of the Chitragupta Temple dedicated to the Sun God and the Vishwanatha Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. They are situated in the Western Group of Temples, which is the largest, well maintained and most easily accessible temple group of Khajuraho. Started regularly since 2002, this weeklong festival has already become legendary with its outlandish classical dance performances presented in a dreamlike setting of splendidly illuminated temples. Khajuraho temples present sculptures depicting various skills and arts of courtly love including dance and music in stone and what venue can be more befitting to hold the cultural festival highlighting the various classical dances of India!
Itinerary Details :-
DAY 1 :Delhi
Tour will start from Delhi. Arrival at Delhi, meet & greet then transfer to the Hotel. After fresh up sightseeing of the city. Visit: Red Fort, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Lotus Temple & en-route over view of Parliament, President House. Day Tour depends on your arrival time of Flight. Overnight stay in Hotel.
DAY 2 :Delhi - Khajuraho
Morning as per schedule time departure to Khajuraho (595 kms) by flight. Arrival & check into Hotel. This city is known as City of Temple in all over the World. Its Temples built in 10th century & a World Heritage site. After fresh up participate in the Mahotsava, basically organized for theme Dance. Overnight stay.
DAY 3 :Khajuraho
After breakfast visit the famous Temples. Temples are one of the best examples for art & architecture. After some rest again participate in the Dance Festival. Night stay in Hotel.
DAY 4 :Khajuraho - Delhi
As per schedule time departure to catch the flight for Delhi. Tour concludes with happy memories.
